Big exhibition dedicated to director Michelangelo Antonioni in collaboration with CINEMATEK! At the BOZAR, June to September 2013.It's about time, as the aesthetics of cinema is a big part of our collective memory. Antonioni's films are often animated representations of artworks by famous painters such as Pollock, Rothko, De Chirico and Morandi (who you can discover at the same time in another exhibition).The characters live in a calm world and fight against fear and despair. The CINEMATEK, therefore, proposes a journey through the modern, visual language of Antonioni and an in-depth reflection on his lifestyle.During the exhibition, the CINEMATEK will organise a retrospective of its films.
