Provocative exhibition. 15 contemporary Mexican artists present their versions of traditional votive paintings. At the BOZAR from 31/01 to 24/03/13!The little paintings were originally painted as a thanks or offering for a religious figure. These reinterpretations will be exhibited alongside a unique selection of historical pieces from private and public collections, some of which date back to the middle of the 19th century.It's an artistic event that could bring about miraculous experiences. 'Pecados y Milagros' or 'Sins and Miracles' is the album name of famous Mexican singer, Lila Downs, and it serves as a starting point for this exhibition.A must see!
